Mrs. Razor's Guide to Success

Welcome!

I have been teaching English at Kamiakin since 2004.  For several years now, most of my classes have been English I/II, with one Mythology or Classics, and one English Lab class each year.  I earned my Education degree in 1992, with a double major in English and German, and have since added a Spanish endorsement.  Through the years, I have taught part time and full time; some years I was a substitute; one year at a private school, but most in our public school system.

My family moved to Richland when I was about 3, then to Kennewick the year that I entered 3rd grade.  Both my husband and I are Kamiakin graduates!  I attended CBC, then Eastern, and took the Spanish through CBC after I started teaching.

Three of my children have graduated from high school.  They are all in the Tri-Cities with their families - we are fortunate to have 8 grandchildren close by to enjoy!  Our youngest attends Vista elementary, and keeps us very busy.  Six of my siblings graduated from Kamiakin, but the youngest felt the need to beat her own path, and attended Southridge.  It is quite a challenge to bring extended family together, but we make a good effort several times a year.

On the rare occasions that I can choose a free time activity just for myself, I do most often choose to read.  Generally, I am busy with schoolwork or family.

I am here to support and guide you as you increase your skills and knowledge in English: reading and writing, and being a Brave!

  • I will make every effort to get back to you within 24 hours, often it is sooner.  Occasionally I am absent from school for some reason, please be patient.  However, if it has been a couple of days since you sent an e-mail, please do leave a phone message since sometimes e-mails get caught by the KSD firewall.  This can usually be resolved.
